Forget the vodka and cranberry Let’s have a Bialogue baby Send me to space And back down to feeling one inch tall Does my love leave rings on your coffee table? Does it tread dirt on your carpet and have you reaching for shampoo? Does it hurt your ears like it’s a station away? Forget the ground control Let’s have a Bialogue baby Send me through a letterbox Bundled up in bubblewrap that was never meant for me Does my sex make your hands shake like too much sugar? Does it make your stomach turn like the drunk ride home? Does it pull on your scalp like a tangle in your brush? Forget the gulf between us Let’s have a Bialogue baby Send me any questions you have An Agony Aunt with an angry undercut My kisses taste like vodka and cranberry And your head’s full of nipples Hand on a breast, flat chest Let’s forget our cards and overthrow the table Let’s have a Bialogue and make it count.

I stand for trans I stand for the goth kids, bullied for how they look. I stand for the asexual And so should you: they’re ace. I stand for the dispossessed I stand for those who’ve lost everything. I stand for trans I stand for individuals and groups Persecuted by this world By the stupid, the ignorant, the malicious By those in power Who use them to whip up hatred. I stand for trans I stand for those in alternative lifestyles: You don’t need to know. I stand for trans I stand for the crazy, the creatives, the crafty I stand for the alternative. I stand for trans I stand for the lonely, the lost, the hopeless. I stand for the future. I stand for what I believe in I take responsibility for what I’ve done. I stand for trans.

I am enough for myself I am enough for myself But we are not enough for you. The words wriggle and writhe they flow they dance They pour they cascade they incandesce They rage they burn The stars white. The sun black. They twist they turn They wriggle they burn Like worms on hooks Sentences in books Like ferrets with good looks The wonderful Saturday Books. The voices blend They twist they shape they share They ensnare They capture your soul in their eyes Their sparkling eyes They see you They know you The words wriggle they rise they defy Like sparks in the night sky Bringing illumination from the dark. We are splintered we are broken We are moulded in gold And honey. Drips. From our lips.
